Mid-1960s
When Jane Kittleman, Wes Kittleman's wife, found out that a contractor who was working on their home owned peacocks, she talked him into giving the school two females and a male. Peacocks have lived on campus ever since. Also, in the mid-1960s, a senior class executed their prank by painted the water tower. The lighthearted prank has become one of Greenhill’s most cherished traditions with the rising class marking the start of their final year by leaving a creative, visible symbol of their class spirit. |
