Student Earns Spot on USA Archery Team

Congratulations to Sykes Lamensdorf ’28 for your archery achievements, including ranking in the top five nationally and joining the USA Archery Team.

Greenhill’s Sykes Lamensdorf ’28 had an exceptional archery season, finishing the year ranked #5 nationally in the U18 division and earning a first-place title at the USA Archery Indoor National Championships.

Building on that success, Sykes has been selected as one of just two archers to represent the United States at the Youth Pan American Games this May in Colombia, where he will compete in the Men’s U18 Barebow category.

To further cap off an outstanding year, Sykes was also named to the 2026 USA Archery Team, a significant national distinction that recognizes the country’s most talented and dedicated archers. Selection to the USA Archery Team reflects not only competitive success, but also years of disciplined training and consistent performance at the national level.

In addition to formal recognition, USA Archery Team members are eligible for selection to compete in international events, providing opportunities to represent the United States on a global stage. USA Archery is the recognized National Governing Body for archery in the United States and is responsible for training and selecting athletes for the Olympic Games.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
