Teacher Selected as 2026 Impact Educator

Congratulations to Dr. Karin Thomas, Upper School English teacher and department chair, for being named a Morehead-Cain Impact Educator.

Last month, the Morehead-Cain Foundation announced the 2026 Impact Educators honored by semifinalists for the Morehead-Cain Class of 2030. The Impact Educator initiative, launched in 2023, recognizes K–12 educators worldwide who are shaping tomorrow’s change-makers with their positive influence on students’ lives and leadership development.

Dr. Karin Thomas, Greenhill Upper School English teacher and department chair, was named a Morehead-Cain Impact Educator. She was nominated by Greenhill’s Kate Ponnambalam ’26, a semifinalist in the Morehead-Cain Scholarship competition.

“We are honored to celebrate this year’s Impact Educators, whose dedication to their students exemplifies the transformative power of great teaching and mentorship,” Morehead-Cain President Chris Bradford said. “These educators inspire curiosity, nurture potential, and help young people discover their capacity to lead and serve with purpose.”

Only 19 teachers in Texas received this recognition in the 2026 cycle. Congratulations Dr. Thomas!
